The Red Junglefowl were brought to Hawaii by the first Polynesian settlers as a food source.
They look like small game chickens, but their legs are usually gray or reddish
rather than the golden yellow of domestic fowl.
They are seen along the roads especially on Kauai where there are no mongoose.
We did see them on Oahu too.
