Pure joy and wondrous love of life
I felt and watched
the two way flow of understanding
there between the Man of Stone
and passers by who stopped to stare in disbelief
arrested by his impish glow of mischief
Grey on grey he stood
and lifted many downcast eyes
then showered them with bubbles,
orbs of nothing
yet so full of promise
Taught them all
for one brief space of time uncounted
how to see the magic
through a child's eyes,
how to feel a rush of fun
and how to catch and hold a moment evermore.
