My first encounter with 'the real WarPac-thing'... HSFA3 Mil Mi-8IV 'Hip-G' (known local as Mi-9) 402 (c/n 340002, delivered May 1984) seen on its homebase Cottbus, late in the afternoon. This flying command post had some extra antennas and served alongside the 'standard' Mil Mi-8T/TB's at the time. It currently is preserved in Hermeskeil, but without the beauty it once had.
