This and other East German Naval helicopters were retired shortly after the picture was taken at Parow-Stralsund, just a few days before the reunification of East and West-Germany. Mil Mi-8TB 834 'Hip' was built in 1977 (c/n 10575) and became 94+14 before final retirement in 1991. It is preserved at Nordholz now
