110601_122130_6014725 Sometimes You Just Have To Wonder What, How And Why (Wed 01 Jun)

Pyrmont, NSW

Welcome to June.

One of the things that comes out of PADing is that you tend to notice more. You notice people, though admittedly I rarely incorporate those into my shots. You notice events. You notice the sky and the buildings and the ground and the gardens, mostly because you're wondering "Where on Earth can I get something to shoot today?"

And of course you notice... things.

Like a baby's shoe, mounted on the spikes of an iron fence which runs along the side of the light rail track.

And you do have a moment's reflection on how and why that happened.

Wonderful words for that image and yes a great way to "safe" and to cherish, thoughtful of you and the person who put that on the fence! V.

People who find lost items on the ground or on the pavement – usually left by small children in prams – as toys, socks, a small cap, a small shoes like in this case, have the habit over here to pick them up from the ground, to avoid that they might be swiped away by street cleaners and then put them on any close higher position, so people who think to have lost something in that place can come back to look for it and to see it more easily.
So maybe there was a Swiss passer-by there in Australia ;^))
