Lake Batur is the widest lake in Bali, and lies at the foot of Mount Batur and Mount Abang.
Created by an eruption of Mount Batur approximately 30,000 years ago, it takes about an hour's drive northeast of Denpasar to reach here. This lake measures about 10 kilometers in diameter and is 65 meters deep.
