This picturesque Arabian Mare is actually not grazing, but searching the flower carpeted field for a good place to lie down and roll in the joy of spring.

She found the right spot several lengths ahead, knelt down and then stretched out, stroking her nead and neck through the aromatic fresh flowers and grasses, rolling and luxuriating in the lush growth during the few perfect moments in the sun on a rainy day at Hawks Rest Ranch.

An hour later they were all huddled tight under the big Sitka Spruce tree to weather out the downpour.
