Well, this has been an adventurous day. I got a wake up call from American Airlines informing me that my flight this morning had been cancelled and that I was now going to be flying to Miami and then to Dallas instead of a direct flight. Got to Miami and this image is a view of Miami from the plane. However, I sat in the airport for 8 hours as my flight out was delayed.

The airlines put me in first class and after sitting on the plane for 15 minutes we were informed that our flight had been cancelled due to bad weather in Texas. So, because of the first cancellation, I am now sitting in a beautiful hotel room in Miami paid for my the airlines and they also provided meals as well.

The hotel staff took me to CVS pharmacy because my luggage is being held at the airport Miami to be put on a plane tomorrow morning. So, no toiletries or change of clothes. The hotel provided me with a t-shirt to sleep in, a robe, toothbrush and toothpaste and deordorant. I had to get a brush and some make-up remover from the pharmacy and so I will be set to go in the morning. They are laundering my clothes for me free of charge and will take me by limo to the airport in the morning.

What was a stressful day ended up being a blessing. I met lots of nice folks at the airport and made new friends. I have a great place to sleep instead of having to sleep on the floor at the airport. Had a wonderful steak dinner tonight and now am finally in my room relaxing.

I didn't have control over any of what happened today but have made the best of it by staying positive and I'd rather be safe and sound than sorry with traveling through severe storms so it turned out to be a blessing. Going to get a good night's sleep and hopefully head home tomorrow.

What an adventure! And, it all turned out great. Because of the day, I will catch up on comments tomorrow as I'm extremely tired. Hoping everyone had a great day!
