Coyote

Around Home, Texas Canyon, Dragoon, AZ

Roger and I took a drive all over the property here (1,500 acres) in our little electric vehicle.
I thought I saw a Coyote way off in the distance and asked Roger to stop. We went forward just a
little to get beyond the Mesquite Trees so I could see it better. Even then, it was so far away I
could not be sure I was seeing a Coyote or a rock (he stood so very still) but, obviously, he saw us!
Both of these images are hugely cropped.

Such a rare sight. The ghost creatures of the world. They even live here in the city but are hardly ever seen. Wonderful shots of this curious one.

Nice doggie ;) NOT! It does look like it could be friendly. Great catch, Carol!!

Excellent captures of this Coyote, Carol! Sure appears that he may either be sick or not having much luck finding sustaining prey, from the appearance of his thin frame.
Guest 17-May-2011 14:31
He dose not seem to be afraid of you, more curious than fear...
Maybe a meal, LOL

Coyote looks longingly, apparently seeking food or companionship. In truth he is probably deciding how to take advantage of you. Interesting!
