The larger egg is that of a Cow Bird. These birds will lay their eggs in the nests of others. These are "nest parasites". It's such a bad thing, in the big picture, because it's possible that the baby finches will not survive. (the baby cow bird is much larger than an adult finch. :( )

Are finch eggs blue like robins eggs? My first thought was robin eggs but I am not familiar with finch eggs. A very beautiful image Debbie!
