The Limerick Forest is a large forest south of the city. It has been managed cooperatively by the Friends of Limerick Forest (previously The Limerick Forest Advisory Committee), the Grenville Land Stewardship Council, and the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville. The Friends are all volunteers and are responsible for many aspects of the forest, including recreation, inventories, trail repair, etc. All done cooperatively with the United Counties.
