Chemotherapy makes Emily sun sensitive...she needs to be covered up and can only spend
a few minutes outdoors a day. Chemo also effects immunity to all things, especially when her neutrophils are low as they are at the moment...this has meant doing things differently to how you would a well child...they ( Jorja has been included in the isolation...the entire family have infact for the past 16 months ) This is only the 3rd visit the twins have made here in this time....and then we made preparations to ensure the area is " safe "
But it has paid off, despite the hard work their parents have put in to ensure Emily's safety and well being....we edge closer to the positive end...only 8 more months of daily chemotherapy treatment and continued remission for the rest of her life ( this is the aim )

Cancer in children is life changing....if you have the chance to donate blood please do as transfusions are many and needed....money for research means cures can be reached in all parts of the world...a little goes a long way.

Very moving shot - most parents find it very difficult to adhere to these recommendations - Good for your son and daughter in law!

I love this shot of the girls. Moving words and I so wish I could give blood but they won't let me. I am also sensitive to sunlight so I always have to keep a high sunblock on me. She's on the road to complete recovery. I can feel it in my bones. May the Good Lord continue to watch over her.

She is such a darling and her sister must be a big help to her. They need each other.
I'm sure she is on her way to enjoying many years of being cancer free.
She and her sister are in my thoughts.

So good to see them together. Nice to see them visiting you; I assume you made your house germ free--there's no such thing, but we try.
