We made it to Neon Canyon on Saturday, April 16, 2011, and established a basecamp under a huge cottonwood tree at the mouth of Neon Canyon. Every night we would walk up Neon Canyon for about 10 minutes to an underground spring that emerged to provide potable drinking water.
