I stopped at this forest preserve to check on the development of Spring wildflowers. While hunched over tripod and camera photographing a BlueBell plant, I noticed movement out of the corner of my eye. I looked up to find this wild coyote not 12 feet away from me, sitting on its hind haunches watching me. It seemed to be thinking "what is this stupid human doing?" By the time I removed the camera from tripod and got it up to my eye the coyote had lost interest and started trotting away. I whistled to get its attention. It looked back briefly and I got this shot.
