Tehachipi is SP country, but while waiting for the rare daylight SP train there were lots of Sante Fe hotshots and manifests to photograph. Looking back, Woodford was clearly a favorite location for light, backdrop and easy compositions. Sante Fe trains were usually clean and interesting power sets, this train had two GP's midtrain.
Notice the gondolas with long wooden poles extending out over an idler flat car. All sorts of interesting stuff.
