A very frustrating morning. I'd heard about a huge abattoir which would have been fascinating - so got up early and drove out and tried walking in its various entrances - with many invitations from men hanging around - but the guards were well briefed and nervous and wouldn't let me get anywhere at all. A nearby butcher's stall offered minimal consolation.
