One of many pictures I took of the gypsum copies of the originals on the Tomb of the Harpies. The “harpies” in reality represent Sirens, winged creatures, part woman, part bird, they accompany the souls of the dead to the netherworld.
I have no specific information about what the reliefs represent precisely, anyone who knows is invited to contribute.
