Interior of the cathedral's north-west tower.
The original north-west tower collapsed in 1635 and was not rebuilt until 1901. It was re-glazed in 1999. At ground level it houses the Sailors' Chapel of St Michael, dedicated to Sussex people who lost their lives in sea warfare.
