20110406 - Under a Cloud

I decided I should give the 24-105 a bit of a run tonight, make sure the new fairy was earning her keep properly. Seems ok... I think. Hmmm....

Anyway, there was this huge wodge of lenticular stuff - but aaaargh - the 24 just wasn't quite wide enough to get the cloud and the sun in the same shot... 17-40 to the rescue:-

The 24-105 fairy seems to be earning her keep. What a beautiful scene. Maybe it's best without the actual sun. That might have been one element too many and mucked up the exposure. As it is, this is a first rate, wonderfully lit image. V
