Workin on my 4 wheel baby and a lesson learn

Henderson Nevada

At plus 300K miles when things fail its not one but sometimes many. With the front grill removed and one of two headlights it's easier to access parts of the engine compartment. Here the distributor, fan belt, and battery cable are replaced. along with two headlight connections, total time for this non mechanic to finish 5 hours including adjusting the timing.
Lessons learned on top of always having a good mechanic book on your vehicle, if an outside company works on your vehicle from oil change to part replacement double check their work before when possible and always after never take their word.
From missing bolts to broken parts were all found during this job. All from the previous mechanics who completed some transmission work total cost for replacement damage over $600. A lesson learned.
