Mantids are a pet subject of mine and I like the composition which shows the shape of the creature.
Taking photos in strong light such as outdoors in bright sunlight requires some consideration. Where possible,
I find it effective to deal with the harsh sunlight by moving to allow my shadow to shield the subject.
