This Mandarin Duck (closely related to the Wood Duck) was seen at Prospect Park in Wheat Ridge, CO is quite an anomaly for the area. It is thought by some to be an escapee from a local zoo or locally hatched from exotic duck eggs. Mandarin Ducks are typically seen in the China and Russia, but are now also seen in Japan.
