St. Partrick's Day rice crispy squares.

In the background is an empty Kleenex box which my granddaughter and I made to trap a leprechaun.
We decorated it with felt pen shamrocks and a gold roof. We added colorful sprinkles outside and in to attract his curiosity and then propped it
with a broken skewer so it would fall on the open door once he got in.
It worked but he escaped leaving us only two tiny chocolate bars.
No pot of gold this time. Maybe next.

A precious moment to be remembered forever, both for you and your granddaughter. Perhaps some Guinness would have kept the leprechaun a little longer so you could catch him.

What a lovely story, it made me think of how important family is and how traditions are sometimes the threads that stitch those memory's together...so nice for your grand-daughter to have you to sow these traditions and memories in her heart and mind...hope you saved one of those squares for me...haha...:)

Very elaborate contraption to get a tricky leprechaun, Margot.
And for that pot of gold...better luck next time :))

I love the fun we can have with grandchildren over such things. They are special, never to be forgotten moments. They grow up so quickly and there is so little magic left in the world.

A valiant effort. Glad he dropped those chocolates on the way out so you weren't too disappointed!!
