Sydney City Near the Quay

Banjo Paterson wrote in the late 1880’s in “Clancy of the Overflow”

"I am sitting in my dingy little office, where a stingy
Ray of sunlight struggles feebly down between the houses tall,
And the foetid air and gritty of the dusty, dirty city
Through the open window floating, spreads its foulness over all"

But looking at Sydney now it doesn’t look like that at all. Its light and clean and I reckon Banjo would get a bit of a surprise if he came back now.

This is the Writers Walk looking back to the City of Sydney past the Quay.

OOOps! I've not been to this part of the city for years - it took me a while to work out where you were standing. It's all different now. Love the blue glass.

Nice composition. Isn't it good that CBD architects have abandoned featureless boxes.

You've certainly captured the city from an interesting angle with good space between the building to give that 'light and clean' feeling.
