My heart goes out to these people that they have sunk so low, they have to resort to begging.I gave this man a good donation for which he was thankful and said he would be able to get a bed for the night. No matter what the reason, or what he spends the money on,he was once a child and somehow his life journey has brought him to this.
Who are we to judge!

people never sink that low, that is a meaning and observation from the outside!
some people meet more hardship then others, and sometimes it isn't easy to deal with all that
our society has created a lot of escapes: alcohol and drugs!
So who is to blame: society or the individual!
Great capture of a lonely man!

We live in a world of haves and have nots and I am grateful not to be in the latter.

I agree! I too give money when I come across situations like this. A powerful portrait. V

Yep. I help them all the time. Take lunches to several homeless men who live in the woods at a park near here. My heart goes out to them and any one of us could be them at any time. Powerful image!
