This house, built in 1868, is about 2 blocks from my home. I walk past it nearly
every day on my almost daily walks. It was saved from the wrecker's ball several
years ago by the efforts of the Galt Area Historical Society, to which I am a
member and former president. The house was restored and it is now a city museum.
