This is my "Photo of the Week" for week ending 10 March 2011.
I was sat by the River Teign trying to get 'that" shot of a Dipper. I was well concealed in a "Gillie Suit" and wrapped in cam/scrim netting as well. There was a strong wind blowing in my face, probably masking my scent. I caught sight of this Stoat as it "worked' the river-side tree roots opposite. After weaving in and out of the roots , it slipped in to the water and swam against the current to my side of the river. After it emerged it bounded in to the undergrowth and disappeared. A few minutes later I caught the musky smell of Stoat in the air,... it was still nearby.
