Nostalgia Ain't What It Used To Be.

I don't share the nostalgia for polaroid that some do. Maybe it's because
we didn't have a polaroid camera when I was a kid, but although I
appreciate how 'magical' it must have seemed back then to be able
to take photos which appeared before your eyes, I was never impressed
with the quality.
I'd more or less forgotten to take a photo for my PAD yesterday.
The weather had been so good the rest of the week, that all I had
to do was grab the camera, walk out to garden, and get a happy
snap of the spring flowers. Yesterday was dull and overcast so
remembering that I had to get a pic, I just snapped one of Fudge
playing with a plastic bottle, when I got home from work. It was
a boring pic and seemed ideal for the weekend challenge to
create a polaroid, as kids and pets were often the subject of
those photos

It does look the part; the washed out colours with a slightly "off" tint into the blue-green range. (Unless Fudge just ate something which disagreed with him.) I have a couple which I've scanned before they evaporate into nothingness, and remember to give thanks occasionally for living in the digital age.
Unbelievably Polaroid is demonstrated a new instant camera at CES in 2009; the PoGo which contains a colour printer which generates 2" *3" screen shots and is reported to have the same "charm" as the old chemical one. I don't know whether it was ever released but if it was one would have to ask... why???

that should be 'read' not 'rad'

Blimey, if I hadn't have rad your narrative I'd have thought this was an original Polaraid from the dim and distant :o). Super processing Mairead, you've really captured the Polaroid essence here!

Perfect treatment for a Polaroid!! You did good!

Perfect. I never would have guessed it wasn't a real polaroid.

Look's the part well - you'll be doing Lomos next!
