I was sitting on my front porch having coffee when my gaze happened upon one of the tree ferns
growing alongside my seat ... and so, naturally a photograph was required. I trust that the true
botanists out there will forgive my ignorance but Wikipedia suggests that all of these little black
spots beneath the fronds are asexual spores, each presumably capable of starting off an entirely
new tree fern. Incredible.

Never realised before how regular those spore spots are - like dominoes.

Wonderful!! Lots of people take shots at ferns, but this one is super, rich in color and detail. And, spores, of course....BV
