A friend gave me a pack of four anemone corms in December. She said that she
always had difficulty getting them to grow. I remembered the advice of the
gardening experts in England who say to soak the corms in warm water til they
plump up, which I did. The leaves started to come out of the ground in early
January, then were hit by frost a few times, but now we have warm weather and
it is lovely to see the first flower open.
