FEBRUARY 2011 POSTS - posts, starting with March 2009, are archived in:

Posting the below from Chester and Arline in case there are others with similar problems.
If you're still having problems or believe there's a defect, email me and I'll inform Chester / Carl.

Judging from the din (hen party-rooster crow ?) at our corner in Tsukiji, everyone really enjoyed
themselves... then again, some of us with lesser hearing acuity may have thought we were
barely whispering.

As for the cookbooks, email me and I'll pass on any requests-inquiries for-on them to Pearl and
the cookbook committee.

I did forward Pam's contact request to Karen with Pam's email address intact... hopefully they
were able to connect... which brings up the email/blog policy on contact requests again :
no problem in requesting contact with another classmate listed in the above recipient list...
I will, as in Pam's and Karen's case, simply forward the requestor's email with address intact
to the 'requestee' with the assumption that this is OK and is the intention of the requestor and
let the parties involved establish contact... or not, as I cannot be absolutely assured that the
classmates in the recipient list above are actually receiving my emails or will respond.

Subject: Re: KHS '60 2010 Reunion DVDs

When you insert the disk into the dvd player, the first screen is a menu.
You see the photo, hear the music and see what's on the menu.
In all the previous reunion dvd slideshows, there is only 1 item on the menu.
In the new one in the ad that went out today, there will be 2 items on the menu.

To play the disk, wait about 5 seconds, then hit "ENTER" or "OK" on the remote.
It may be different on other remote controls.
It's usually the circular control, where you can press the up, down, right and left arrows.
The center button needs to be pressed to play the dvd slideshow.

If you have the 2 or multiple item menu, use the up or down arrows to highlight which slideshow you
want to play.
The one highlighted in yellow will play.
So, if that's not the one you want, use the up or down arrow to highlight the one you want, then press
the center button.

Try this first, and if it doesn't work, then you may have a defect.
If you have a defect, contact Carl for another disk.

Aloha, Chesta.

HI Hal, Gerri & Chester;
Totally enjoyed the Wednesday lunch with Pam Machida and all of our classmates.
It sure was great seeing so many that I remembered and those that I didn't remember.
However, bought a DVD of the LV reunion and tried playing it.
All I get is 3 minutes of music and the "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign.
Could I have gotten a defect???

old friends and breaking bread at this yummy luncheon.
With Pamela and unexpected delight of having Cliff Ching join us.
His lovely wife Kim could not be there but fortunately Jack and I had the pleasure of dining with them the night
before at the Side St. Inn with Richard and Tillie Seichi who left for LV the next day....the opportunity to see
and talk to old friends is priceless and hopefully we will be able to do this more often.

Clarence, Gary, thanks for the response to the Washington Intermediate School '57 reunion contact info request...
waiting for the others.
For those WIS '57 classmates who may have missed the previous email blog, a bunch of your classmates have
formed a committee to plan a reunion tentatively set for sometime in August 2011... they have requested our
help in providing contact info from, or making contact with, all of you.
Please contact Pearl Shimooka Mori or myself to grant permission to pass on your contact info... either your postal
mailing address through Pearl or your email address through me.
Or if you prefer... send either or both directly to Amy Nakashima Kashiwai at ***57wis@****.com (contact me or any
of the email recipients listed at the top for Amy's address - Hal).
Whether you were a WIS '57 classmate or not, if you know anyone who was... regardless of which high school they
attended, please send them this email blog or let them know of the WIS '57 committee contact info request.
Pamela, Mahalo for the opportunity for Gerri and all the rest to get together... some for the first time since H.S.
Must admit I didn't intitially recognize Edwina Ahn also... took all of ten seconds... known her since, I think, our
elementary days... you Pam, I recognized instantly... well maybe after a couple of seconds... same with Pinky
Kim and Ethel Aramaki... Barbara Izutsu and Harris Mabe took slightly longer for me to recognize.

Hi Hal, Geri, et al ~~

Sorry for the belatedness of this "thank you" to all who came to Tsukiji on Wednesday.
Have a family get together this Sunday and I seem to be the one in charge -- funny huh, I live the farthest and yet
am making all the arrangements!!!
Made yarn leis and crocheted dish cloths too so have been just too busy!!!
Maybe next time I can bring some to another of our get together!!

It sure was great seeing everyone there - hard to believe that some I hadn't seen since high school graduation!!!
Harris, you look the same although you were taller than me before.
It was funny when Edwina and I looked at each other and had to ask "Who are you?"
Thank you, Gerri, for all your hard work.....and of course, you too, Hal, and Chester.
Is it possible to still get more cookbooks?
I've already tried some of Roy's salmon recipes and they were a hit.

Thanks again to all who came that day - it was great!!!
You who live in Hawaii are so lucky that you can get to see each other more often.

With much Aloha, Pam Machida Hasuike Halford

Guess where the loudest, most fun section of Tsukiji was on Wednesday, 2/16... everyone appeared to be having a
great time... 28 of us... I think... there was so much table/chair hopping going on as classmates mingled and talked.
After a too short luncheon it was time for everyone to depart with good wishes and promises to see each other soon...
as some of us commented, a couple of hours of luncheon and an hour of goodbyes.
Jean, Boyd, when you get to the list of classmates who were there... yes, I did tell her of your mentioning how much
you've missed her and the others all these years.
There are already some notes/comments below of the luncheon and of those who attended and I'll wait for others to
chime in and post those and some of mine on the next blog.
I wil be posting pics of this mini-reunion on the Pbase website that Chester and I took... will let you know, or just have
a look from time to time.
Though Chester mentioned selling all of the DVDs, that was just for the Tsukiji luncheon and more will be 'burned' by
Carl for anyone wanting and ordering one... contact me or Pearl.

I'm sorry to be so troublesome but sure appreciate your help.
Hal, if you don't mind, would you kindly do a blog entry to those on the list for whom you've email addresses?
And, Pearl, I don't want you to go through the trouble of calling each person to get permission to release the

subject: Tsukiji Luncheon 2/16-visiting pals, Pamela Machida, Clifford Ching

Mahalo nui, nui, nui to all who were able to join us for lunch.
What Fun, what revelry, what noise, what laughter, what smiles, what surprises, what tales of interest, what a turn out
(almost 30 old pals) & so much more plus the yummy lunch.
Pam was thrilled to see and reconnect with everyone and we are just delighted that Cliff Ching dropped in to town and
was able to join us and that all were were able to see so many old friends that we have not seen in ages.
A toast to both Pam and Cliff was in order.
Pam lives in Canada and is one of our Kapahulu classmates.
Pam's dad had a pharmacy and home next to Kapahulu Theatre (now Zippy's) and Pam along with her cousin Pat Torigoe
(we did not know that they were cousins, how nice, we seem to have many of these around) apparently worked diligently
at the Pharmacy after school and did not have a chance to do much socializing with classmates like many of us.
A huge mahalo to Harold and his trustworthy blog in helping this luncheon to gel.
Chester, Harold took pictures which perhaps will give us a preview of our gathering and Chester brought his wonderful
collection of KHS,intermediate and elementary school photos.
Mahalo to Brenda Kadokawa's grateful help in collecting money, so much commotion in the beginning, could not concentrate,
really sounded like a hen house (LOL).
Any of our visiting classmates or if they wish to celebrate birthdays etc. let us know, if we can do this again, let's do it.
SUCH GREAT FUN to see Harold Oshiro, Chester Otani, Harris Mabe, Myron Kekaula, Lillian & Marian Tarumoto, Edwina Ahn,
Ethel Aramaki, Pam Kim, Dennis Sakaguchi, Arline Gokan, Pam Machida, Cliff Ching, Brenda Kadokawa, Bobbie Baptist,
Wally Nakaoka, Frances Mise, Pearl Shimooka, Roger Kobayashi, Ardel Honda, Carol Masuda, Marjorie Morimoto,
Carol Hamasaki, Barbara Izutsu, Sandy Akiyama, Karen Fukuji, Pat Torigoe.

I've notified Gerri and Chester for you Sandy... he shoud have a copy on hold for you.
Edwina, you'll have to check with Pearl on the cookbooks if you haven't already.
And yes, I've notified Gerri on Karen.
Great to hear Clifford and Kim will be there.
Quick notes on the DVD sale.
As mentioned before, this is a fund raiser for the KHS '60 reunion fund... all proceeds will go in there
after material expenses... classmates involved are donating their time and effort.
Chester is sort of like a 'magazine publisher/editor'... Carl Yasuda is like a 'magazine printer'... Pearl
is like a 'magazine distributor'... and the rest of the classmates named on the flyer last emailed are
like 'contributing writers' and also do whatever miscellaneous tasks that are required.
So not to worry that only ten DVDs will be available... that's only for the luncheon as Chester is taking
it upon himself to pick up and bring over those ten since apparently Carl won't be able to attend...
and also because of time constraints where normally orders are taken by Pearl or me then relayed
to Carl to 'burn' the required amount, with those then being sent to Pearl for distribution/mailing.
Kudos to all involved as it seems and is a lot of work.
Looks to be a fun Wednesday with likely well over two dozen attending... see you all there.

Hey Pam... I should have dropped by for a cup of coffee/tea when I was in Niagra/Toronto just a few years
back... beautiful area.
Thanks Clinton and Muriel for the reminder... send in an order folks, as you'll like this DVD... Chester has
really outdone himself with compiling pictures and video from what I previewed... and just five bucks...
that's a terrific deal for such great once-in-a-lifetime memories... with all proceeds going into the KHS '60
general reunion funds after expenses and all (save the proffessional photographer) named on the DVD
flyer ad volunteering their time and talents.
Good reminder on the discount Gerri... and on bringing correct change to help speed payment processing
along... Gerri, you can bring some spare nickels and I'll bring the pennies... anyone for dimes & quarters.
Those that haven't already please let Gerri know by Tuesday 2/15, via me or directly, if you're planning to
be there... and even if not, give us some favorite memories to share, here and at the luncheon.
Spoke to Gerri the other day and apparently there'll be a few faces that we haven't seen since, well maybe
high school at the luncheon... among the over dozen and a half guesstimated to be going.

Happy New Year Edwina.

Glad to see you'll be able to make it to the luncheon... won't be a crash since Gerri did say everyone who could be
there is more than welcome.
I'll forward this to Gerri to let her know you're coming and she can let you know if there are further details.
But in the meantime, since she sometimes isn't able to get to her emails right away with her busy schedule, the
below is what she has written so far :

"Pam, glad that your Honolulu dates are set, we have scheduled lunch on Wednesday, February 16 at 1130am
at Tsukiji's on the 4th floor at Ala Moana."

Now that Gerri will have you in the head count, you just need to show up and have a great time... since it really is
just an open and informal luncheon with everyone sitting together wherever possible at the available tables.
Tsukiji, if you haven't been there before, is a buffet-style restaurant where one can leisurely fill one's plate through
the stroll going past the various food offerings on the long counters... a basically all you can eat place for one
set price plus for whatever incidental additional items (liquor, etc.) that are ordered... the usual payment practice
being one bill at a table to be split however after the meal among those sitting there.
Do remember your brief mention of being somewhat immobile in your other emails... great that you're much better
now and will look forward to seeing you again after 50 plus years.

Don't forget... all you Washington Intermediate School 1957 graduates... your reunion committee needs to
hear from you, whether or not you may be able to attend a reunion... drop a line anyway.
Happy Valentine's Eve

Yes, Carole will be there.
I think she said that Sandy wouldn't be there because she had to work.
My cousin, Pat, will be there too.
Haven't seen anyone in so many years that this should be a real treat!!!

We live in the same time zone - I live in Ontario....above New York!!
It's a small town, Marmora, just 1400 people!!!
If you're ever in the area, please don't hesitate to stop by.

So please have the exact amount with you to not inconvenience the restaurant by asking for change with our
large group of friends.
Bing would be great if you and Hank can hook up w/Obama on his airforce one jet if he plans to visit Hawaii
again (LOLO), joking.
If anyone recalls old stories about our KHS do share it with us.
All looks great for next Wed, looking forward to seeing all the youngsters on 2/16.
Aloha Gerri

Amy... sorry, I know I said I'd post just snippets but where do I begin or end... it was such a great email
written from the heart, I didn't know where to slice and dice.
Any response/inquiry to the WIS '57 committee from the KHS '60 classmates I can forward to you and you
can act accordingly... no need to pass on your email address until then.
So any WIS '57 grads among our KHS '60 classmates, or even their spouses, or friends, please email me
and I can forward it to Amy.

Thanks for the kind words Amy, for all of us... but I must add that I am hardly what you're
portraying me to be.
Without input from classmates like you... and even input from long-ago friends and new ones
like this WIS '57 bunch... the 'blog' wouldn't amount to much.
So, thank YOU and all the rest.

As a heads-up, I will be posting snippets of your email within the blog in order to pass on info
re: the WIS '57 reunion.

No problem, glad to help... but must remind you that there's no guarantee you'll have a response,
much less many of them.
As I've mentioned to the KHS classmates apparently receiving the email blogs, I can't always be
sure everyone (100+) listed on the email header is actually receiving the emails unless I get a
definite response from them.
However, I've been told directly/indirectly, that many of the KHS email blog recipients are merely
passive participants in that they'll just read the email blog and are reluctant to respond because
of shyness, privacy fears, or whatever.

So you're right on the email privacy issue... I really believe the great response and readership
success for the email blog is due in part to the policy of not revealing email addresses within
the email blog... which by the way, both blog and policy, have been ongoing since March 2009.

Blog... short for weB LOG (i.e. daily log)... is not a nametag I particulary care for (too techie
sounding for old fogeys) but one that stuck somehow.
The initial 'heads-up' on a proposed reunion should be enough for now for a mental foot-in-the-door.
I'll be more than willing to pass on any further information as you're doing your planning.

Harold ( referencing me as Hal is fine too )
Hey Bing, there's still some space left for you and Hank at Tsukiji... heck of a lot warmer here too.
Gerri, Pam... seems like the Tsukiji event is really turning into an event what with the response that seems
to be coming in... and as Gerri said 'the more the merrier'.

No problem in giving Gary or his wife my email address.
Then they can contact me if-when they wish to do so instead.

In the meantime... and it would be presumptuous of me to agree that I could be capable... I can and will post
your email on the blog, abbreviated and 'desensitized' as usual, and see what comes of it.

Actually this does have a lot to do with KHS as many of our classmates came from WIS... with their memories
of there much like ours at KIS and our respective elementary schools that have been brought up in the blog.

By the way, I believe Amy is related in a way to Richard Shintaku... married to a brother of Shinty's wife Joyce ?.

Reminder on the LV reunion DVD... email me or contact Pearl Mori to place an order and we'll forward
your request to Chester/Carl... also, as noted on the flyer, you can send a postal mail directly to Pearl
with your order and payment check.

Hi, Hal, Gary, Charlene and Elsie!

Wow! You're all sooooo kind and helpful and I'm so grateful.
I agreed to sit on the WIS reunion planning committee and on the day of the meeting, I was the lone Bulldog
amongst 10 or more Tigers, feeling so bad and responsible for not having a better KHS representation.
As a poor representative, being one who hasn't been to any of her high school reunions, except the 10th,
and not knowing what was expected of me and what it all entails, I must've appeared pathetically stressed
and overwhelmed.
So, thank-you very much, Gary, for so kindly bringing much relief to me by calling Elsie to help.
And thank-you, Elsie, for so willingly contacting Hal to help us.
And, thank-you, Hal, for being so willing to accommodate us.
And finally, thank-you Charlene for having been dragged into this and doing all that you've done to help the cause.
I am so grateful to all of you wonderful people.
In this season of life, I have so much appreciation for those who exhibit goodness and kindness.
And you all have truly exhibited these wonderful qualities. :)
Thank-you, thank-you!

Elsie, I've always wondered about you, and thanks to Hal's blog, I've been able to learn a lot about you, to read
your wonderful contributions to the blog and to see the beautiful photos of you.
Yes, unlike many of us, you're certainly maturing gracefully and BEAUTIFULLY.
I ran into Vivian sometime ago at the trade show and she sure raved about your many talents and how great you look.
I'm not surprised, as you're no different from what I remember of you.
You need to share your secrets with us. :)

Hal, I think what you're doing through your blog is so great; it's really a philanthropic act of kindness for our KHS
Class of '60 community.
Through your blog, I've been entertained, informed, inspired, awed, etc. and I'm sure, I speak for others as well.
Thank-you so much!
And thank-you for being so willing to help us get in touch with our former WIS classmates.
But how do we do this?
I'm sure there's a privacy code that you must abide by and you're not free to give out e-mail addresses.
I don't know much about any of this stuff as I'm a zero in technology.
Please let me know how this can be done.
And you asked for some hard details... for a starter, we have tentatively planned this informal event to be held at
Natsunoya for lunch on August 13th.
And if there are those who'd like to help and join our planning committee, it would be so nice.
I guess I should give you permission to give out my email address in order to be contacted by those interested in
attending this event or even helping.

And, yes, my dear sister in law is Joyce Kashiwai Shintaku.
That makes Shinty my brother in law.
Imagine that!
While on the subject of relationships, Frieda Taniguchi Sen and I have always been the best of friends.
We now share an even closer relationship as her son and my daughter are married and we share a little rascal grandson,

Again, I thank you all sincerely.
Through this experience, I've learned that there are many good people in this world and that knowing the right people is
so very important.
I'm so glad that I know you good "right people".

Thanks for your quick response.
We saw your great KHS website, and thought that if we could get hold of you and ask for your assistance to get
some e-mail addresses of former 1957 Washington Intermediate School (WIS) classmates, it would help our effort
to get out word of our 1957 WIS reunion.
For convenience, our committee can cross-reference both the 1957 WIS and 1960 KHS yearbooks and provide you
with a list of WIS-KHS classmates.
If e-mail privacy is an issue, your idea of posting the re-union announcments on the your blog may work.
We just had an initial meeting and do not have enough information to send to prospective classmates.....other than
we are planning a 1957 WIS reunion this year, so we will need to coordinate efforts with you as we go along.
Our main contact is: Iris Okahashi Takayama.
My e-mail is: robertwatari@****.com and you know Amy's.

Elsie, Gary, Charlene, Amy,

Realized I may need more detail on when, where, who and other related stuff before posting any info on the blog.
If there aren't any hard details as of yet, let me know on any general info you may have for me to post.
With or without, sometime in the next few days I'll go ahead and add what you've already given to the blog and... as
I've mentioned previously... see what comes of it.

Amy, I can understand the WIS classmates having to want a reunion seeing how close my wife and some of her
fellow '58 WIS classmates are... they still try to get together once a year though they went to different high schools,
one of those classmates being Joyce Kashiwai Shintaku (Roosevelt H.S.).

Elsie, sudden thought... Chester Otani has a friend, RHS '60 grad, who is on their reunion committee... I can ask
Chester to check with that friend if he's willing to pass on the blog to his classmates to try to locate any WIS
'57 classmates among their class... Gary, Charlene, Amy, OK with you ?

Gary, Charlene, no problem in posting stuff about WIS or even McKinley and other high schools since a lot of the KHS
classmates on the blog know or remember classmates from those schools.

Mahalo for anythng further you can pass along to me.
Aloha, Harold

Thanks Clarence.
I now am up to date in my Lunar New Year greeting.
It was fun being at the table with you and your lovely wife Suellen.

Pam, I so envy all of you being able to get together.
I wonder if Carole Masuda will be there.
And Sandy, and Bessie, and Pinky, and Junie, and Louise.
It would be fun.

But I’ll just have to make do.
We will celebrate here at Fortune Restaurant at Seven Corners, VA on Saturday because that is the day the
lion dancers and firecrackers will be at the restaurant.
So far we have 5 tables.
Only one other person from Kaimuki High School.
Karen Nakama who is a senior analyst at the Pentagon.
She is way younger than we are.
I believe Ray Tsuneyoshi knows her because she is also on the Executive Committee of AAGEN.

Hi, Hal….yes, there is a committee possibly planning an Intermediate School reunion.
I got a call from Gary Yamagata asking whether someone like you would be able to find out or get a list
of classmates from Kaimuki High who attended Washington Inter. In 1957.
Apparently Amy Nakashima is on this committee and anxious to make contact with interested parties.
Anyway, told him to say hello to Amy and would love to hear from her.

Now, if you are able to or even willing to give time to this request, how would you like to make contact?
Should I give Gary your email address?
When I asked him how I should best contact him, he said email to his wife’s address.
Contacting him at the right time would be difficult.
Would you prefer to have his wife, Charlene’s email address?
Guess I’m being presumptuous, but did say to Gary if anyone could get this info, you could.
Let me know what your thoughts are, as this has nothing to do with our school, but some of our classmates
may be interested.
You could also post something in our blog for interested classmates to respond to.
Thanks for your help, as always. Elsie

Kaimuk High School Foundation is sponsering their annual fundraiser on Saturday, March 19, 2011,
from 4:30 to 8:30 PM.

It usually includes dinner, silent auction, door prizes and entertainment.
It starts at the school cafeteria and moves to the school auditorium.

Tickets are $25 donation or more.
Donations above $5 may be tax deductible.
KHS Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

They prefer that you RSVP by March 4, 2011 by mailing them the following information (but last minute
guests are welcome; donations can be made at the reception table):

Name, address, city, state, zip code.
They also ask for home, business and other phone numbers.
I usually don't give out this information.
They also ask for email address.
I, also, don't give out this information.

Include information about how many tickets you want @ $25 each, plus any separate donation you might
want to make.

Please send checks payable to: Kaimuki High School Foundation 2705 Kaimuki Avenue
Honolulu, HI, 96816-1396

The tickets you order can be picked up at the reception table at the cafeteria.
The request for RSVP is so that the cafeteria staff will know how many dinners to prepare.
You can show up unannounced.

Through donations, the Foundation has been able to donate over $100,000 to the school to help fund projects
and support student activities since 2003.

Some of the projects that have been funded by the Foundation for the 2010-2011 school year are:

1. The purchase of computers for student use in the school library.

2. Supporting the development and offering of a College and Career Fair for all students.

3. Subsidizing the transportation costs for Science students to study the Paepae o Heeia ancient fish pond.

4. Providing funding for the purchase of a Classroom Performance System designed to enhance the learning of
current and future science students.

5. Funding to development and implementation of the first Robatics program at Kaimuki High School.

6. Funding to support programs designed to enhance reading and testing skills.

It is hoped that the Class of 1960 can help the Foundation help the students at Kaimuki High School.

If you cannot make it on March 19, 2011, perhaps you might consider a donation.

Hi Hal,

Gerri suggested I get in touch with you right away so you could put a note on the blog about our get together at
Tsukiji on Wednesday, Feb. 16 at 11:30am.
She asked who I knew and wanted to attend as far as males so they wouldn't think it's only for the women.
I suggested Wayne Yamasaki, Mel Cabang, Warren Fujii, Harris Mabe (the Kapahulu guys), Ernest Nogawa,
Kenneth Matsuura, and Abu!!
I looked through the yearbook cuz I haven't seen these classmates since high school except for Wayne and Ken
and Ernest.
Hopefully we'll have some guys there.....of course you'll be there....right?
I'll call my cousin, Pat Torigoe Kawano, and email Carol Eto since I just got her email address.

Leave in the morning so am going nuts but should be packed and ready shortly.

Susan Ham, Harold, Pamela, dear friends.
Susan, I am shocked and just crushed to hear of your dearest Mom's unanticipated passing.
Verna was always a vibrant lovely and super intelligent person to me and my family.
Verna and the family were my next door Palolo neighbors and she was always an upbeat gal
although we would later run into each other occasionally over the years we would talk and
try to hook up for lunch or coffee busy as we were but unfortunately we never made it.
Verna worked in Waipahu at the time and I also worked long hours in Waikiki.
We spoke briefly in passing at the reunion and unfortunately there was not enough time for quality
talking time in that one short evening.
She told me that your grandma was well, I am sick that we never found the time to get together.
Our deepest and sincerest prayers and sympathies go to you, and your family.
Have not seen your grandma, Carol or your uncle since, please extend our heartfelt condolences
on this very sad sad tragic loss for all who knew Verna.
Verna was full of life and had so much more of life ahead of her.
Our warmest aloha Gerri and Jack Digmon

Pam, glad that your Honolulu dates are set, we have scheduled lunch on Wednesday, February 16
at 1130am at Tsukiji's on the 4th floor at Ala Moana and we are anxiously looking forward to seeing
you then.
Not everyone in your Les Chanteles club resides in Honolulu but other classmates are joining us and we
are all looking forward to lunching and catching up on old times with you and everyone else.
It is not easy to contact everyone but anyone is most welcome to join Pamela's fun lunch gathering,
the more the merrier.
Just send an email to dear Harold so that we can update the reservation count.
Also if anyone can recall old stories for school days please share with with us.

I wrote back to Susan Ham as soon as I read the sad news :
Yes, the email does go out to a hundred or so KHS 1960 classmates.
I realize how difficult it must have been with your Mom's passing, yet taking the time to write.
Thank you, it is much appreciated.
Will definitely post your email to inform her classmates on the next email.
I remember your Mom as a friendly gal who was always real nice to me in school.
Your Aunt Carol is my wife's classmate and she would update me on your Mom whenever I talked to her at their reunions.
Sadly, I didn't have the opportunity to chat with her at our last reunion at the Pearl Country Club.
Thank you again and take care.
I did recognize Verna after the reunion while looking through the pictures I had taken.
Now I'm doubly sorry I didn't recognize her then and have the chance to chat.
Thanks Chester... as I've mentioned before, I'll normally post only what's relevant to the classmates...
be it KHS, the old stomping grounds, the good times, etc... being seniors and saving certainly qualifies.
