You have done a great job of finding beauty in an event as sad as the closing of a public house Cindy. Nice shot.

A fine shot Cindy.

Gonna use that idea for my next roll of BW400CN, or XP2, which I prefer.

A shot of past elegance, I guess Americans can't cope with warm beer!

Sad news, but what a nice photo. I love your b&w work,
Cindy.

Thank you Hal, Michael and Bob.
Hal, LOL I guess Americans don't know how to name their establishments correctly.
Michael, I had a 0.9 ND filter on my lens (3 stops), so I rated the film as 50 ISO...but that would be equivalent to 400 ISO. My iiig only has a max shutter speed of 1000, so the ND gives me more flexibility. I'd rather overexpose C41 than underexpose.
Bob, This area is scheduled for renovation, so maybe something is in the works.

Nice shot... too bad about the Pub going out of
business though.
Michael Edwards27-Feb-2011 04:14
Not much sadder than a closed watering hole, or more unusual...most seem to stay in business; but, these are not normal times.
Cindy, the toning is beautiful.
The chromogenic film makes a nice sharp image.
Did you shoot this at 400 or 320?
hal 27-Feb-2011 03:54
Very sad that it closed down, Cindy, but your photo is excellent
and the toning is lovely.
The name of the pub by the way, is inaccurate.
lt would be just "London Arms" or more likely "The London Arms"
'Pub' is an abbreviation of Public House.
lt is understood and not used in the actual name.
