This is part of an original leech jar, used by Victorian doctors to treat patients who were thought to require the removal of impurities from the blood. The top has air holes so the creatures can breathe. The jar sits on a low pedestal. I used a film-grain filter on top of the high ISO to make this look like an old photo.
