Iridium 10 & 91

Cambridge, Ontario

Two Iridium satellites in parallel trajectory through the tail of Ursa Minor, at 06:22, altitude 49°, azimuth 2°N and 0°N respectively. It was so windy that I had to brace my heavy tripod. Iridium 91 is a spare satellite currently in storage orbit.

Iridium 10: USSPACECOM Catalog No. 24839; Int'l Designation Code 1997-030-D. Magnitude -8; Right MMA angle 0.0°, 0.2 km from flare centre.
Iridium 91: USSPACECOM Catalog No. 27373; Int'l Designation Code 2002-005-B. Magnitude -3; Right MMA angle 0.8°, 19.9 km from flare centre.
