Yes, everything from the footprint trails in the snow to the frosty street lights to the lit but deserted window fronts to the rugged up couple gives a feel of a place that it would be good to escape from. I like the way that the shadows at bottom right and left form an almost-vignette drawing the eye up to the couple.
