I don't have a dog called "Spot", but if I did, I'm sure this would be his favourite spot, or one of them, at least.

Thanks for the comments. There wasn't fill flash. I used some highlight recovery in Lightroom, and then photo pop in Topaz Adjust and a little shadow-highlight tool in Photoshop. Alastair

You have captured something that I can't seem to work out, texture in snow and foreground not UX. Fill flash ?

Funny story! I fully understand that you don't have a dog as you have a cat; it would be difficult for the pets to get along with each other. -Gerald
