Raven calling

I am doing a public presentation on ravens next month so am spending time with some of my favorite wild ravens. This is a bird that has been a fun individual and is very cooperative. Most ravens don't even allow you to point a lens in their general direction so it has taken some time to find "friendly" ravens.

This study is perfect for someone wanting to understand the feathering of the head, neck and shoulders. I have never seen the short wing feathers pushed up like that. I think it must help him look big. His "horns" are evident here and usually raven is irritated or upset when they display their feathers over each eye like that. This is vibrant and immediate. He is ready for action. All his intelligence and power are availble for the challenge. You were given a gift with this one.
