A moment of bonding between mother and baby? Not quite! A millisecond after this photo was taken the larger doe lashed out at the fawn with her front hoof! This doe with the light-coloured eyes was feeding here before two other adult females and this baby showed up, so I take it that one of other deer was this baby's mother.
