For some reason, I like taking pictures of this little shack at night.
I have a lot of pictures of it, but I'm never quite content with the composition.
Here is what (I think) I'm trying to capture:
-night sky with stars (without noticeable star trails)
-shack is a prominent element in the scene and reasonably visible
-the shack is alone in a field, so maybe some of the field to show the space
-low noise
-possibly moon lit or not
I've tried some wide angle long exposures, but I'm finding too much diagonal busyness or tension or something?
The icicles were actually not pointing straight down (which didn't help).
I'm thinking of trying some artificial lighting to help like a flash light or off-camera flash
If you have any ideas, let 'em rip - I'll be going back to shoot this shack again
