Bohemian Waxwings

Davenport, WA

The Starlings in the foreground are introduced to North America from Europe. Once here, they cease to migrate and live entirely in human settlements. The Mountain Ash berries these Waxwings and Starlings enjoy all winter are from the european variety of the tree. The native Mt. Ash prefers higher elevations with heavy moisture. The Waxwings and Starlings have both benefited from the cultivation of the european trees in towns and cities.

Magnifiques oiseaux et beau shot.
Les oiseaux en premier plan sont des étourneaux sansonnet.
