Mesa's Dad's story:
We met Mesa in Casa Grande, AZ a few years ago at a city pound, all matted and scared. She had an identification microchip in her but the owners never came forward. Hence it was her chance to have new people in her life. If she could tell us her story it would be that she was kept in a cage and used as a puppy mill mother. She was all bagged out, has a scar on the top of her head and had to have a tumor removed, plus being spaded before she could come to her new home.
Now was the challenge for both of us, she needed a name, I was going to call her Casa until my wife reminded me what that meant (Spanish "house") so she is now Mesa.
She understood no English., didn't know what treats were, couldn't go upstairs. We have guessed her age to be about 12 and she now runs our home.
While she is going blind these days she still has lots of love for us ...
Mesa's story:
"My name is Mesa amd my new owner's name is Gary; he found me in Casa Grande, AZ. I was lost and lived in the city pound. What a sight I must have been. I was kept in a cage and used as a puppy mill mother. I didn't know anything different until Gary found me.
Now you need to know that up until that time I only spoke Spanish and Gary only English until one day he said ... ""Mesa girl you're younger, so could you learn English please, it would be easier for you due to my age.
Now I get treats just to go pee and Gary carrys me up and down the stairs, LIFE IS GOOD."
