This shot was taken during a stroll along the river Thames as it passes through Reading (Berkshire, England). The fog really hampered my shutter finger, but I felt the strong colours of this young tree against the muted background really worked.

I have slightly enhanced the reds to bring them in line with what I saw through the viewfinder, and also did a little gardening to get rid of all the waste paper and bottles irresponsible people just through to the ground.
