This is my "Photo of the Week" for week ending 27th January 2011.
There is a feeding station for this species in Broadsands South Devon. Every winter Cirl Buntings and other finches congregate there to take advantage. This has probably helped enormously in the survival of this species in the UK which is "clinging on" in great Britain as a breeding species at the very Northern edge of it's range.
