Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge - Alligator and Eggs

The last alligator looked like she was sitting on a nest. Sure enough, when I got home and zoomed in, I could make out the eggs underneath her. It was now getting late and we had wanted to head over to Eddy Creek area and Playalinda Beach for late afternoon and sunset shots. So, we said goodbye to the gators and headed on over.

Thank you Kanya. I'm a horrible judge of distance, but maybe about 75 feet. Luckily it was sunny so they were content to just lay there.
