This is a photo of the Werribee River; it broke it's banks and covered the ford that crosses the river and normally carries vehicles. It was quite amazing to see but thankfully no flooding as experienced in other towns and cities over the past week or so.

Wow - it is amazing what water can do - great shot. Glad no flooding in other areas. We were hit by floods in Nashville TN in May - water is so beautiful but can be so dangerous and deadly. V

Hope things have started to settle down for you...amazing shot...intimidating to see so
much power emerge from what is probably a beautiful river in other seasons. - Racine

So sorry about all the flooding! Water is treacherous when out of bounds.

Yikes! That's one angry river! Such a dramatic swing from drought to flood. Hope it stops soon.

I've been worried about Laine too. Seeing this is so frightening. I'm thankful you haven't had it as bad as other places in Australia. Very dramatic photo, well done.

That water is such a worry - I have been following the news on TV and on-line. Such terrible damage has been down. Good shot of that filthy water - but it is bad news!!
Have you heard how Laine is?
