AAAAGGGHHHHH!

I Spent about 2 hours this afternoon trying to perfect the cherry in the water shot, hampered by a lack of a flash, enough available light and a dust problem this is the best I could manage and this is after 1/2hour in Photo mangler too. This is a one I will have to revisit after a bit of reading up, although thats probably going to tell me to go out and buy another flash gun.

My favourite shot so far today is this BW ,this is part of my attempt to get back to looking at the great photography pbase has to offer in 2011, if you haven't already done so please take a look

Canon EOS 30D
1/1000s f/6.3 at 183.0mm iso1600 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Great effort, I like the blur, looks like a 580ex is now on your growing birthday wish list to get the image you want.

I think it's a great artistic shot Kevin. I like it! V

I know someone who shot this type of photograph but, using a strawberry. Search under Dale Edsen under the Imagemakers of Blue Springs gallery and you will be able to see the outcome of his photo. He may have suggestions for you. Tammy

Great attempt Kevin, this is much more difficult than one would think!
Don't give up on it...you can get it! Excellent composition!

Great minds too! I was contemplating this last week...I kinda like the blurriness Kevin - but I'm surprised you got so much movement at 1/1000s - those cherries must move fast :o))

Great effort with minimal kit, Kev.

Ah, I was going to this very thing earlier in the week, but couldn't face the cleaning up afterwards! 'tis looking pretty good just as it is, the motion adds a bit of abstract... but you probably really do need a flash to get what you're after!
