I was first to get to the Yosemite Lower Falls viewing area while the day began in fresh falling snow. I saw these trees and visualized this shot through the trunks of the bridge. As I set up the tripod I grimaced when this group of 4 came into view because their shapes and colored umbrellas would mess up the composition. Then they stopped together right in the center of my frame as if I had directed them. So I quickly clicked the shutter and made some pretty good lemonade.

All the best for 2011

At first glance I thought you selectively colored it.
All the more better that it happened as you saw it unfold for the camera.
Hope you are having a great start to 2011 Bill. V

The chance often smiles to the good photographers who are ready to receive it. So it is for you with this splash of colors. Congratulations and all the best for you in 2011, Bill ! BV.

the group does add colour and scale, and animates the otherwise still scene...and a lovely one it is too..V
