The eclipsed moon along side the open star cluster M35 (left and slightly above center).

The star field was shot the evening of Dec 28th. I didn't shoot that star field during the eclipse because I didn't want to interrupt my other scheduled shots with a major lens change. 20 frames stacked in Registax V5.1.

Star field exposure was 30s f/4 ISO 400 with the D700 and 300mm f/2.8 AFS-II at 300mm. Moon was shot at 4s f/4 ISO 200 with the D700 and 500 f/4 AFS. Total exposure 10 minutes.

Stars down to at least mag 13.6, maybe slightly beyond pushing 14.
