This is a full frame shot with my 500mm and the 1.4 teleconverter. I finally had my first male moose without its velvet. He was in a pond and I was photographing him in my car. Eventually he came up out of the pond and was walking straight at me with this look on his face. He was rolling his head from side to side and that gave me some concern. I hoped that because he was eating he was not fully in the rut. I also thought that starting the car with him ten feet away might cause him to charge. Happily, he eventually went around the front of the car and disappeared. He does look a little love sick.
