We recently traveled to Washington state to spend the Christmas Holidays with family. The weather was dismal except for about 2 hours when we were near the Skagit Flats, so we made a quick detour to Fir Island and saw this mature bald eagle, who we are sure must be a distant cousin of some of our Vancouver Island eagles. :0)
